Activity background
December 1 this year is the 24th World AIDS Day. According to statistics, there are about 700,000 HIV / AIDS patients and patients in China, including 85,000 AIDS patients. At present, a total of 78,000 children nationwide have lost either their single parents or their parents due to AIDS. Due to social discrimination, these AIDS orphans have experienced the joys and sorrows of the world, some can not go to school, some have difficulties in life, and others have been alone and helpless. In order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of AIDS orphans, our country has promulgated a series of policies and regulations. For example, all children living with HIV / AIDS and their families can go to school free of charge, and encourage relatives and social adoptive children with AIDS orphans. However, the elimination of AIDS discrimination still requires the long-term efforts of the whole society.
Purpose and significance
China Cares Next Generation Working Committee and Hebei Federation of Industry and Commerce decided to jointly organize a large-scale high-definition documentary on orphaned AIDS children start-up and on-site donations, all donated on the scene to shoot a large high-definition documentary "ignite the hope of fire" (tentative Name), the film is divided into five episodes, each episode of 30 minutes, is scheduled for December next year, cum twenty-fifth World AIDS Day broadcast on CCTV International Channel. The film uses an objective point of view, a full and true record of the growth process of a group of AIDS orphans. I hope this film can arouse the concern of the whole society and urge everyone to extend their hand of love and help these AIDS orphans struggling in their hardships.
